Introduction

Client Coverage works with all business lines to develop and enhance existing client relationships. The integral role played by Client Coverage throughout our global business, is evidence of the vital significance which BNP Paribas CIB places on our client network.

Every major client within BNP Paribas CIB has a dedicated senior banker within Client Coverage. These clients include over 1,500 corporates from every country where we do business, many of which have a transnational or global footprint. Senior bankers are responsible for keeping up to date with market movements and new product lines to be able to pro-actively pitch business in to existing clients and maximise the profitability of existing relationships.

Working closely with other areas of the bank, Client Coverage professionals use their broad knowledge of our business to combine with the more specialised skills of each business area to prepare for and win competitive pitches. Once the business has been secured, Client Coverage ensures that things run smoothly by bringing together all of BNP Paribas CIB's services into one seamless offering.

Client Coverage teams are structured along geographic region and sector lines, including teams specialising in Energy & Commodities, Financial Institutions, and Financial Sponsors. They monitor the exposure and profitability of each client relationship and expedite loans and credit approval processes for clients. All teams work closely together to form a tight-knit global network that delivers each client with a comprehensive array of financial solutions to cover their complete range of financial needs.

Around half of graduate roles in Client Coverage – at both the Analyst and Associate level – are based in Paris and other European offices. However there are opportunities available across our whole range of global offices, especially in emerging markets and areas of high growth.
