Commodity Derivatives Sales

What you’ll do

You’ll use technical and fundamental analysis to stay abreast of market movements. Your role involves advising both producer and consumer clients on how to manage their price risk exposure by presenting them with market commentary and outlining hedging rationale.

We’ll expect you to develop an in-depth understanding of Over-The-Counter and futures products.

In addition, you’ll need to price risk management solutions for corporate clients, liaise with traders to review deals on behalf of the client, investigate trade settlement problems and support senior marketers on the desk.

What you’ll need

You’ll certainly have a strong academic record, ideally in Finance Analysis, Economics or Corporate Strategy – a Masters degree would be ideal.

We’ll be looking for competency in all Microsoft Office programmes and particularly PowerPoint and Excel. You’ll also need the ability to deliver persuasive and convincing sales pitches, to write reports and to analyse, summarise and deliver presentations.

Proactive and reliable, you’ll bring good interpersonal skills and fluency in English. French would be desirable and if you’ve had sales experience or exposure to financial markets, so much the better.
