FIG Analyst

Programme: Analyst

Financial Institutions Group offers financial advice and services to a number of financial institutions including insurance companies, banks, asset management firms and other financial institutions. A key part of FIG focuses on building lasting relationships with these major clients, providing them with ideas and options on all our products and services to optimise their investments.

What you’ll do:

This role demands a high level of client interaction as you’ll be helping to develop relationships and originate mandates. You'll contribute to the preparation of client pitches as well as looking for opportunities to apply product specific solutions to other parts of the client base. In addition, you can expect to:

  • Monitor the status of projects and keep an up-to-date knowledge of Client Relationship Management tools
  • Identify issues that clients may face from the implementation of regulatory directives, company financial dynamics and capital markets trends, liaising closely with a FIG Banker
  • Be part of our ‘deal teams’ providing a sector, regulatory, ratings and client specific input
  • Work jointly with the business lines to develop the best solutions to cover client issues.

What you’ll need:

You should have either a Bachelors or Masters degree (or equivalent) in finance, accountancy or economics.

We’ll be looking for a commitment to develop a broad yet detailed understanding of the variety of products and solutions that we can offer to FIG clients and you’ll also be able to acquire and maintain a knowledge of the regulatory and rating agency environment.

This should include an understanding of the changes that could affect a Client Group’s capital calculations and the ability to model impacts and scenarios before advising bankers or product lines on the implications.

This is a highly autonomous role so you’ll need initiative and the confidence to manage both internal and external clients. English is essential, as are local languages if you’re based in Moscow, Bahrain or Frankfurt.
