Structuring Analyst
Structurers are the link between the traders and sales teams. BNP Paribas won Structured Product House of the Year for the second year running in 2007 and, to join this award-winning group of individuals, you値l need to be analytical and confident in modelling complex trade ideas but also good at communicating such complex suggestions in a logical way to others.
Structurers focus on developing and pricing complex structured products designed to meet specific client needs. These strategic solutions are formulated by working with sales to analyse client needs and then assisting the sales team in selling this solution to the client.
What you値l do:
You値l be involved in structuring, pricing and analysing derivatives products, including Swaps, Options and Exotics. You値l help our salespeople to analyse client needs, offering solutions based on derivatives and structured products, and meeting clients together with senior marketing staff.
Your role involves helping to push trade ideas internally and to clients, this could be by writing marketing notes or research pieces. We値l also expect you to build and maintain useful marketing tools on the intranet, for example trade ideas, termsheets and presentation templates.
What you値l need:
You should have a Masters in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Accounting or Statistics along with skills in Excel, VBA or C++. In addition to your native language, you should be fluent in English. If you have previous capital market internship or related work experience at a financial institution, that would be ideal.
