Quantitative Research Analyst

The Quantitative Research team is responsible for the development, maintenance and enhancement of the models used for pricing, risk management and accounting purposes globally.

Our Fixed Income Research Strategies Team (FIRST) also provides and maintains accurate, up-to-date historical market databases for trading, marketing and research areas as well as developing, supporting and marketing a number of web-based tools. It’s responsible for developing new trading platforms as well as researching into creative methodologies based on innovative mathematical, statistical and technological concepts.

What you’ll do:

As an analyst in this field, you’re likely to be given your own project to work on and you can expect to doing some or all of the following tasks:

  • Designing, testing and implementing new strategies
  • Improving existing analysis tools and methodologies
  • Probabilistic modelling
  • Statistical analysis

What you’ll need:

You should be educated to Masters or PhD (or equivalent) level in finance, maths, statistics, theoretical physics or a related subject. Your technical skills should encompass Visual Basic for Applications, Excel and Stochastic calculus and numerical methods.

Ideally, you’ll have relevant work experience along with a knowledge of electronic markets, models and arbitrage strategies and charts.
