Structuring Analyst
Structurers are the link between the Traders and Sales teams. BNP Paribas won Structured Product House of the Year for the second year running in 2007. To join this award-winning group of individuals, you’ll need to be analytical and confident in modelling complex trade ideas. A good Structurer is able to simplify this complexity when communicating to others.
Structurers focus on developing and pricing complex structured products designed to meet specific client needs. These strategic solutions are formulated by working with sales to analyse client needs and then assisting the sales team in selling this solution to the client.
What you’ll do:
A structuring analyst will be required to:
- Market trading ideas internally and to clients via presentations and marketing materials
- Price products for clients and sales teams and push trade ideas
- Improve and build new pricing models to deliver innovative solutions to clients
- Maintain structuring marketing materials
- Writing product briefs for new products.
What you’ll need:
A Master’s (or equivalent) in Finance, Maths, Financial Engineering, Accounting or Statistics is important, as are excellent analytical and interpersonal skills. In terms of your technical skills, we’ll be looking for programming knowledge in C/C++ and VBA. A previous internship in Banking is preferred and foreign language skills are advantageous.
