Trading Analyst
Traders are required to calculate risks and identify opportunities in order to formulate trading strategies in liaison with Sales and Research teams. Once their market opens, they must react instantly to market changes throughout the day in order to generate revenue for us and our clients.
As a Trader, your role is to buy and sell securities on behalf of our clients and the bank. Traders work in the fast-paced environment of the trading floor so you must be able to work under pressure and be resilient enough to take mitigated risks. Your decisions will truly count and, when calculating your P&L at the end of each day, you must be able to explain the decisions you致e made and your trading strategies, learning quickly from any mistakes!
What you値l do:
As a Trading Analyst, you値l be required to:
- Identify market opportunities for clients in collaboration with sales
- Work with Sales and Research teams to promote trade ideas
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of a variety of trading strategies
- Assist senior Traders by tracking their positions
- Book trades and follow up with operations to ensure timely settlement
- Oversee book positions and adjust accordingly.
In the US, you値l have additional structuring responsibilities. This will involve developing complex structured solutions tailored to specific client needs as well as contributing to client marketing materials and presentations.
What you値l need:
Highly numerate, you値l have at least a Bachelor痴 degree (or equivalent) in a subject such as Maths, Finance, Physics, Quantitative Finance or Statistics. Modelling and programming skills using Excel, VBA, C/ C++ skills are needed along with excellent attention to detail. Your strong analytical ability will add to your confidence in making quick decisions. You will be a clear communicator and team worker and be able to stay calm in a fast-moving, stressful environment.
