Analyst (USA)
Trading Operations provides support for the proprietary and client trading activities of BNP Paribas, focused on Fixed Income, Equities & Derivatives, Foreign Exchange and Commodities.
What you’ll do
This rotational program is designed to give you a real breadth of opportunity as well as enabling you to make a significant contribution and achieve exceptional performance as you develop your career.
The emphasis of this program is on providing hands-on experience that can build a broad perspective and a comprehensive understanding of both our business and the financial services industry.
Over the course of two years, you can expect to spend four to six months in our:
- Back-Office (Equities, Futures and Options, Mortgage Backed Securities, Asset Backed Securities and Government Bonds)
- Middle-Office (Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities – Profit & Loss analysis and documentation)
- Transversal teams – Accounting Control & Risk and Shared Services (Referential Data, Account Opening and Collateral Management)
If you’ve performed well at the end of the two years, you’ll be placed directly into a team line role.
What you’ll need
We’ll be looking for a Bachelors or Masters degree (or equivalent), ideally in accounting, finance, economics or statistics, together with proven academic excellence – your GPA should be 3.0 or above.
Some previous financial services experience would be useful, but not essential. You’ll also bring excellent leadership, analytical and strategic thinking abilities and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
