The Technology team is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining cutting-edge applications that are used across the bank.
We work in a Windows and Unix environment using C++, Java, .NET, VB, Oracle and SQL Server. Our remit covers everything from providing critical support to areas from front and back office through to developing applications that give businesses access to real-time, 24/7 global trading information.
What you値l do:
Your role involves collecting user requirements, specifying the work that needs to be completed and developing the required code, in line with the team痴 standards and tools.
You値l need to document the functionality implemented, mainly via the user guide, as well as carrying out acceptance testing with users. We値l also expect you to support our live system on a rota basis, including some overnight shifts.
You could be working in Fixed Income IT Development, supporting the Fixed Income business or trading floor in London, Paris, Mumbai, New York, Singapore or Hong Kong, or in Capital Markets Technology Development, which supports all areas outside of Fixed Income in London or Paris.
What you値l need:
You値l certainly have a strong academic record in any quantitative discipline, including maths, computer science or engineering. An additional degree, such as a Master of Finance, would be advantageous.
Ideally, you値l have previous experience in an IT environment or financial institution, previous C++, C# or Java programming experience and a knowledge of financial products.
A familiarity with software engineering is essential, including software architecture design, code structure, testing, releases and application roll-out. English is vital and French would be useful.
