Quantitative Developer
In today’s market, financial knowledge isn’t enough. Technology is critical for BNP Paribas to allow us to meet the needs of our clients and to help us deliver cutting edge solutions on a global scale.
The Technology team is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining cutting-edge applications that are used across the bank.
We work in a Windows and Unix environment using C++, Java, .NET, VB, Oracle and SQL Server. Our remit covers everything from providing critical support to areas from front and back office through to developing applications that give businesses access to real-time, 24/7 global trading information.
What you’ll do:
Your role involves contributing to the development and support of our Risk and Profit & Loss systems. In particular, you’ll provide support for business users (sometimes client facing) as well as helping to develop and support our pricing and risk systems.
After about four months, you can expect to participate in our 24 hr support rota with other colleagues as well as analysing business requirements.
You’ll be supporting the Fixed Income business or trading floor in London, Paris, Mumbai, New York, Singapore or Hong Kong.
What you’ll need:
You should be educated to Masters or PhD level (or equivalent), ideally in science, engineering or mathematics.
Programming skills in MS Visual C++ or C# would be advantageous, as would a knowledge or interest in Financial Derivatives. Fluency in English is essential.
