Their work enables the bank to conduct business globally, supporting, enhancing and optimising the performance of the other divisions and helping to integrate new acquisitions smoothly. From facilitating the launch of new offices, business lines and products to managing projects, risk and large volumes of complex transactions every day, Operations professionals are at the heart of everything CIB does.
Working in Operations, you will develop many of the skills essential in modern business. Your overarching and wide-ranging responsibilities will give you an in-depth knowledge of finance and investment banking and your experience in managing complex projects will develop the personal, professional and technical skills that you'll need to become a leader.
To succeed in Operations you will need strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills. You will have to be able to tackle problems by approaching them from a different perspective, challenge convention and liaise between clients and colleagues to deliver solutions that suit all parties.
