Researchers analyse and forecast market or economic trends, specialising in industries, regions or economies.
Their impartial intelligence is key to shaping Sales and Trading strategies for clients and for our business. There are a wide range of research roles across the business, from Economic Research to Strategy.
The bulk of your day-to-day duties will be analysing financial data, writing morning meeting notes, exploring new investment ideas, contributing to internal and external research publications, presenting research to colleagues and clients, and maintaining financial models and spreadsheets.
To be part of our Research team, you’ll need advanced excel spreadsheet and modelling skills, as well as good judgement and the ability to formulate convincing arguments. Research is as much about communication as it is about analysis and you’ll need excellent written and verbal skills to present your ideas and formulate convincing arguments.
We also have specialist Quantitative Researchers who focus on developing the statistical and trading models, platforms, methodologies and reference tools used by our business. They work with advanced mathematical, statistical and technological concepts on a daily basis.
Ideally, you'll have relevant work experience along with knowledge of electronic markets, models and arbitrage strategies and charts.
