Equities & Derivatives Sales
Sales professionals act as the bridge between our clients and internal teams. Crucial to their success is a full understanding of client needs and our products. Our salespeople are involved in every stage of the sales process from client request to deal closure, which means they play a vital role in establishing, maintaining and building strong relationships.
The core role of the job is to sell equity derivatives products to clients in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Sales teams specialise in certain types of clients or geography or in a particular range of products (structured product solutions, flow solutions or strategic equity solutions).
There are two key elements to your role. The first is to earn the trust of your clients – you will respond to their needs but also proactively market ideas to them. You’ll work through formal environments, such as product pitches and presentations, and also via more informal methods. Networking skills will come naturally to you and you'll be willing to travel globally to meet clients. The second key element is the relationship you build with colleagues in structuring and trading. Working towards a common goal with internal partners is of the utmost importance in maintaining the highest standards of excellence for our clients and a global internal integration across these work areas, helps ensure this is done.
Analyst
As an Analyst, your role will involve assisting in the servicing of clients (presentations, providing clients with pricing, marketing documents etc). In addition, you will be involved in supporting the management reporting of desk activities and investigating trade settlement issues. As you progress you can expect to prospect for new clients and manage your own client relationships. As important as your ability to persuade and convince will be your ability to nurture relationships. Languages and relevant market knowledge are a distinct advantage.
You should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in any discipline although Maths, Finance, Economics or Statistics are particularly relevant. A second language and some financial services sales experience would be useful.
Associate
As an Associate, you'll work closely with senior sales people covering hedge funds, asset managers, pension funds and related institutional investors, using equity derivatives for investment and hedging purposes. Your key responsibilities will include modelling transactions, conducting quantitative research, preparing client materials and assisting with trade executions so you'll need solid quantitative, analytical and strategic-thinking skills.
You should hold an MBA, ME, MS, MFE or PhD in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science or Physics. Some prior financial services experience is preferred.
