The Structuring team is responsible for designing, pricing and transacting complex derivatives products. The structuring team contains specialists in the areas of pricing models and hedging risk, and also in areas like tax, accounting and law. Structurers provide the link between sales and trading teams and focus on developing and pricing complex structured products to meet clients' individual needs. Finding the right answers requires an in-depth understanding of our products and the current market conditions and working closely with Sales to gain deeper insight into clients' requirements.
As a Structurer, a large part of your role will involve structuring, pricing and analysing derivatives products including swaps, options and exotics. Joining an award-winning team, you'll be in the ideal place to learn how to write marketing notes and research pieces to promote trading ideas and pricing products internally and to clients. You'll also be involved in building and updating useful marketing tools online such as trade ideas, termsheets and presentation templates.
Highly educated and numerate, you'll be analytical, logical and feel comfortable modelling complex trade and product ideas; you'll also be able to explain them clearly to others so good communication skills are essential. Programming skills in C/C++ are important and a second language is advantageous.
